Former county resident Arnold Pettit rings Honor Bell

BRADFORD — Arnold Pettit, who lived for decades in Bureau County in the Bradford area before moving out of state, was honored earlier this year when he was allowed to ring the Honor Bell at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo. as part of a military funeral rite.

Pettit, who lives in Parker, Colo., rang the 1,000-pound bronze Honor Bell in remembrance of 22 unclaimed interned veterans.
