It’s that time of year again when the corn stalks have turned gold and farmers are anxiously bringing in their harvest.
During this time, there will be a lot of farming machinery sharing the roadway with motorists. It’s up to all of us – farmers and motorists – to pay special attention to safety measures.
To make sure you arrive safely at your destination, make sure you give yourself a few extra minutes so you don’t feel tempted to speed to get somewhere on time. When you’re going around corners and up or down hills, keep in mind there may be slow-moving traffic just around the corner. Be prepared to hit the brakes quickly in those situations.
By slowing down and thinking ahead, we can work together to prevent any tragic accidents this fall.
