Election of officers held during Manlius Fire Department meeting

MANLIUS — The Manlius Fire Department held its January meeting at the Manlius Fire Hall. The meeting was conducted by Robert Reglin, president, and 12 members were present. The minutes of the last meeting and treasurer’s report were given.

The election of officers for the 2019 year was held. Officers will be: Aaron Roush, fire chief; Justin Doty, assistant chief; Zach Nutter, first lieutenant; Ben Doty, second lieutenant; Robert Reglin, president; Mitch Doty, vice president; and Mary Hartz, secretary-treasurer.

A thank-you note was received from Lester Lathrop Memorial. Zach Nutter and Zach Kunz will attend a First Responders class. Raffle tickets winners were: $1,000, Aaron Roush; $500, Royal Neighbors; and $100, Mary Hartz, Jodi Doran, Cheryl Balensiefen, Cory Peterson and Gladys Felton. Felton returned $100 to the department from her winning raffle ticket. The Walnut Fire Department will hold pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon Sunday, Feb. 10.

Attendance awards were won by Justin Doty, Robert Reglin and Chris Dybek. The next regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the fire house. The lunch committee will be Zach Nutter.
