Marietta Hullinger

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Marietta M. Hodge Hullinger, 77, passed away at noon Tuesday, March 12, 2019, in Davenport, Iowa, surrounded by her family.

She was the sixth of seven children born to Raymond Hodge and Jewel Martin Hodge in Ewing, Ill., on Feb. 9, 1942. She married Frank W. Hullinger on Feb. 6, 1964, in Buda. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from Bradford High School and nursing school. She was employed as a nurse at Perry Memorial Hospital and in-home hospice care.

Survivors include her son, William (Jill) Hullinger of Princeton; a grandson, Brandon Hullinger of Muscatine, Iowa; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Bella Hullinger; a sister, Judy (Bob) Stepanek of Muscatine, Iowa; a brother, John (Donna) Hodge of Shabbona; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a great-grandson, Bently Hullinger; two brothers, William (Millie) Hodge and Ray (Betty) Hodge; and two sisters, Minnie (Bob) Vigen and Annie (Tony) Rauba.

Cremation rights have been accorded. There will be a graveside service at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton at a later date.
