PRINCETON — The driver of the semi tractor-trailer that broke through the guardrail on Interstate 80 just east of the Princeton exit on April 30, was charged with improper lane usage. According to an Illinois State Police District 17 report, Danny Guaman Quituisaca, 30, of Chicago was driving too fast for conditions. His semi tractor-trailer was traveling west on I-80 when it attempted to negotiate a curve and lost control due to wet roadway conditions. The semi broke through the guardrail and slid partially down an embankment, rolling onto its left side.
Quituisaca was not injured and refused treatment at the scene. The semi was carrying non-hazardous cargo.
